Every girl has this ravenous appetite for compliments. Even if she really believes she is beautiful (which is rarely) , she wants you to fill her up on that. She dismisses plenty of good compliments and remembers the bad remarks. She might be told a hundred times but every time someone tells her she is beautiful, the spark of interest is lit anew.

I agree, as humans we thrive on complements (regardless of gender).. It makes us feel alive and wanted.
