Of all the ridiculous, face-saving posts that I see trending, this one is pretty popular
''If John commits a crime, John is responsible.
If Abdullah commits a crime, Islam is responsible.''
Right. But excuse me. If John blows up in markets, stadiums, concerts, schools, basically anywhere and says 'I did it for christianity' and if hundreds and thousands of Johns keep doing it all over the world in name of christianity, and John has ties with militant christian organizations, then 'John' would not be viewed separately from his ideology. Then fingers will be pointed and questions will be asked. And if this discrimination, these questions feel wrong to other christians who believe John is not acting according to the true teachings of their religion, then the burden is on them to completely DENOUNCE such acts, not with the undertone of EVERYTHING being a conspiracy theory, but they should then have the moral courage to condemn John for what he is. A terrorist. Instead of taking refuge in the comfort of victimhood for being misunderstood, they should weed out the Johns within them and make it clear that what their ideology is about, with EXAMPLES, and not only as flowery phrases in reaction when their belief is understandably challenged.
