Death would be easier to accept for believers in afterlife. It would be even easier for those who are more in tune with the life after, than their life here. (Don't worry kid, you are just going back there) 'Believers' have their own kinds too. There are those who are always reminded of the temporary nature of their life, moulding their life choices according to it. They spend their life under grim clouds of anticipation. And there are those who re-connect with the comfort their religion provides them only after they face extreme sorrow or extreme happiness, or when they cannot find any answers. They enjoy the perks this life has to offer , contradict their beliefs where they stifle them (and they never admit they stifle them), and resort to the same belief when it's feasible, or when they desperately need to.It's more convenient for them.In fact of all the kinds of people, it's the most convenient for them. The second kind abounds too.
For the rest of the people. When the hand that always nurtured you, turns limp and lifeless. When no emotion you feel for them is able to reach them, or evoke a reponse from them. When you stand beaten by the limitation of your own mind, and the pit in your stomach becomes a vaccuum that sucks all your happiness. What's left for you to do if you don't believe it's temporary? That dead are gone, dead, blown away like a puff of wind. Assigning yourself to the hollowness of not knowing must be the most humbling, the most frightening and the bravest things of all.
