Alive in the year 2020 A.D, there are many things you will have to take for granted. A 1000 years ago, a person in pursuit of knowledge could hope to have a grasp on the diverse phenomena of life as they knew it in entirety, simply because the knowledge was so limited. Now it is not possible for any human to be an expert in multiple fields. This is where the importance of the work YOU do comes in.

If you are not a physicist working in a laboratory to theorize or to test the phenomena that furthers our understanding of the universe, you are a doctor who is treating the illness that this physicist has to the best of your abilities thus expanding the time span for exertion of his mental faculty, you are a neuroscientist who is observing the dance between the neurotransmitters that can lead you to understand that physicist's brain, you are a mathematician who provides the foundation physics stands on, or perhaps you are a writer who inspires the sense of wonder and awe in a child's brain unattuned to knowing it's  limitations, or you are a photographer who captures the twinkling of a remote star in a way so magnificent that it inspires a young boy to become a phycisit and  push the limit between the known and the unknown tomorrow, that is faced by phsycisits of today.

The world today is a cauldron of information and for a curious person , selection of interest may become difficult. The lust for the knowledge in entirety will remain. But lets also realize the importance of each cog in the wheel as we become one,  and lets feel light in the certainty that those of  us who are doing our work, whatever it is, with genuine dedication  and delight are all to be credited for the expanse of wonder, beauty and ever growing wisdom of our specie.Alive in the year 2020 A.D, there are many things you will have to take for granted.
