Theres something amazing about leisurely walks. They might be a physical pathway towards mindfulness. When you go on a walk, you slowly start to leave your baggage behind as if you are unloading something toxic from your soul. You become quieter as your feet start to fall in step with your partner, if there is one. All the noise of the world starts to die down. Even the horns of the vehicles serve to punctuate the serenity you have suddenly found between each other. A point comes when you are only left with your thoughts. There is no blanket of banalities. Only your raw core. Not many people can handle it. We say 'why don't we do it more often '. But we also itch to go back. We want those effortless mechanics of life which we are capable of performing , without stirring our consciousness. The mundane conversations , the easy going flow. We want the noise to protect us, we want the crowd to absorb us. A very few of us dare to be alone. With ourselves or with anybody.
